The Apostles' Twelve-Nut Medley
Twelve nuts for twelve apostles. We swapped the Judas portion for a raisin. Nobody has complained. One of them did leave, but he also ate the wrong fish.
Every item below was weighed, de-air, sealed and reserved by hand at the Garage For Jesus.
Prices are nonprofit-priced, which means we sell at cost and feel extremely virtuous about it.
We are taking pre-orders only. There is no online checkout. We are still praying about the whole thing.
We are not shipping yet. We are packing, we are praying, and we are taking names down. Everything below happens over the phone or in person, like it did before websites.
Call any time. If we are packing, we will let it ring and call you back. If we are praying, we will pick up anyway because we would like the company.
(208) 555-0142The Garage For Jesus, Moscow, Idaho. We are there more often than you would expect, because somebody has to be here when the scale is lying again.
Note: we do not keep a shop on a schedule. We keep a shop on a prayer.
Add items to the pre-order list here, then call or visit and we will confirm quantities, flavors, and a pickup or delivery date that we have not invented yet.
Nothing is charged until we talk to you. Ever.
Licensing, labels, a scale that tells the truth, a spout that does not spray raisins across the garage, and one more item on the list that we are still discussing.
Being upfront beats being fast.
Tell us what you want and how many. We will tell you honestly whether we can do it, because we cannot do everything yet and we would rather say so than lie with a printed invoice.
Your name, your order, your phone number, and the date. It goes on a clipboard next to the dehumidifier. It is the most reliable piece of technology in the building.
Only after the prayer, the permit, the labels and the scale are all in agreement. Which is to say: eventually. We will call you the day it goes from "probably" to "ready".
Pickup in Moscow, local delivery in town, or shipping once that is real. Every dollar of profit goes to pantries, to KYZO in Accra, and to the Your Last Prayer film project.
We are still praying about all of it. The nonprofit paperwork, the food handling permit, the labels, the prices, the partner agreements, whether to even do this in Idaho or somewhere with a better weather report β it is all still on the table, and it should be.
So we are not pretending this is a finished business. It is a beginning with a very good idea and a garage full of bags. We are taking pre-orders because pre-orders are how you start without pretending you are further along than you are. If it all falls apart, you will never have lost a dollar, and we will have learned a great deal about vacuum sealers.
β Management (and the Man in Moscow, who has expressed no comment)
Filter by category. Build a pre-order list. Call us to confirm. Receive snacks and a clear conscience.
Twelve nuts for twelve apostles. We swapped the Judas portion for a raisin. Nobody has complained. One of them did leave, but he also ate the wrong fish.
Roasted in small batches, which is the only way to roast a hazelnut. Nobody has ever roasted a hazelnut "in large batches" and had it come out right.
Also known as Jerusalem Potatoes. Technically the Jerusalem part is a misnomer and the Idaho part is a triumph.
Forty days in the wilderness is a lot easier when someone left the good snacks behind.
For when He is working quietly and you would rather not disturb the miracle.
Fishermen. Cashews. Both curve slightly. He noticed this too.
The five loaves were a thought experiment. This is the bread part.
When the Spirit came upon them, they were suddenly very hungry and very sticky.
Third day. Brought back. Slightly wrinkly, still sweet, now with a $14 shipping label.
From the orchards of the Palouse. He is not impressed, but He will eat four or five.
Deeply red, tart, and stubbornly sweet. Perfect for the 40 days of the wilderness.
Named for a tuber that is not actually from Jerusalem and is not actually a potato. Spiritual parallels aside, it is delicious.
Carrots, corn, peas, beans, bell pepper. Grows in a bag. Barely grows at all.
Corn, carrots, onion, potato, garlic. Add hot water. Feed five. Actually six, if He shows up.
No fish included. He keeps taking the fish and leaving the corn. We have stopped asking.
Finely chopped, oven-dried, unapologetic. Your neighbors will know.
Soft dried fruit, easy-open pouches, and a card with a verse. Ships with a free mini-film of the recipient's own story, produced by the Your Last Prayer team.
Bulk dried fruit and nuts sized for a plant-based grocer or a community kitchen. Nonprofit-to-near-cost pricing for the KYZO Garden.
Twenty-five mixed bags for a food pantry, church pantry or mutual-aid fridge. We will ship anywhere in the continental US at nonprofit cost, once permits and labels stop being theoretical.
Drawn on the back of a church bulletin in a McDonald's parking lot in Palouse, Washington, with a borrowed pen. We are not apologizing.

Retail-ready sleeves, UPC codes, case pricing, and a co-op story that actually sells the shelf: "the nonprofit that feeds people and also, allegedly, has Jesus on staff."
